![]() Ok so eco is the basic economic mode, comfort is almost the same as eco but it turns the boost for the cpu (if you want to watch a youtube video in 4k for example you need comfort mode for that), sport turns the boost on for both the cpu and gpu and turbo overclocks both, thats where the problem is.īasically what happens is that intel's turbo boost along with the dragon center turbo mode causes the clock to go over 3.0ghz but the cooling of the laptop wasnt made to handle the boost so a lot of people disable turbo (on throttlestop) which causes the clock to stay at the stock (2.8ghz in some models for example), however some people, including me, leave the turbo on and undervolt the cpu so that it receives less energy which causes it to remain at a lower temp like 60-70C.
